Project aim and expected outputs
Edu-Fusion Network for Sustainable Growth (EduFusion NSG) is an integrated approach designed to transform higher education in Kazakhstan, focusing on aligning educational outcomes with labor market demands and promoting sustainable growth and job creation.
The Project aims to create an ecosystem involving tight links between industry and academy, training and certification of educators and providing online courses relevant to market needs to ensure sustainable growth and entrepreneurship raise at national level in Kazakhstan.
Project Specific objectives
- Establish the Academia-Industry Collaboration Portal (AICP) and secure 15 industry partnerships to create joint projects and internships within the second year of launch, with a focus on industries key to Kazakhstan's value chain development and entrepreneurship.
- Train and certify 200 educators through the Teacher Development and Support System (TDSS) using modern teaching methodologies, with at least 50% of them achieving international certification standards within the last year of the project.
- Design and launch 10 accredited online courses in the fields of STEAM and entrepreneurship through the Virtual STEAM & Entrepreneurship Academy (VSEA) by the end of the second project year, ensuring at least 40% of these courses integrate gender inclusiveness and climate neutrality topics.
- Conduct quarterly labor market analyses to ensure the continuous alignment of the VSEA curriculum with market needs and adjust the course offerings based on feedback from a minimum of 100 industry stakeholders by the end of the third year.
- Achieve a 25% increase in course enrollment each semester over the first two years of the VSEA's operation, targeting a demographic of current students, recent graduates, and mid-career professionals, with a special outreach initiative to increase female participation in STEM fields by at least 30% in the same timeframe.
- Formulate strategic recommendations for expanding comprehensive ecosystem that fosters robust connections between industry and academia beyond the Project consortium across Kazakhstan.
- Ensure transparency, accountability and high quality of project results through adequate coordination, control procedures, quality and risk management.
